Coronavirus: important information
In light of the spread of the Coronavirus disease and the measures adopted by the Spanish Health Ministry, it is our duty to share some relevant information on this issue with all members of the university community.
As of now there are no travel or trade restrictions concerning the risk areas, although the Health Ministry has recommended not travelling there unless it is absolutely necessary and, if so, adopting some basic precautionary measures.
The University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) is in touch with all those students who have travelled to Italy within the framework of one of our mobility programmes, as well as with those Italian students visiting our campus for the same reason. In both cases, the situation is one of complete normality. However, some UIB students have stated they would rather return, at least for the time being, and the UIB will facilitate this.
A committee, presided over by the Vice-Rector for Campus, Cooperation and Health, Prof Antoni Aguiló, has been created so as to effectively manage the situation as it evolves, including all possible travel problems or doubts the members of the university community may have.
